TAG IT

.
I've been asked to go to a ladies night charity dinner on 2nd December at a friends house to raise funds for the local church and she's asked me to bring along some cards and things to help raise some money.  Apart from the usual bundle of cards, I'm making a few other things to try to tempt people to part with their dosh.  I decided on some wine bottle gift tags.  I also made matching cards to go with some of them, mostly Christmas themed.

I used a Martha Stewart punch to create the snowflakes in silver mirri card. The embossing on the cardstock is made using either Sugar, Starry Night, Diamonds or Snow Cap embossing folders from Sizzix.

I cut the base cardstock into 6.5cm wide strips and then I round the top and punched the hole with Spellbinder dies.  I embossed the bottom section of card with the embossing folders and then added my embellishments.  All the sentiments used are PTI as is the vast majority of the colour cardstock.

I really enjoyed making these.  I'm working on some pencil packs now and will share with you once done.

ANOTHER WEDDING CARD

.
Hi all

I've got another wedding card today.  I made this for a friend to give at a wedding they are going to in London at the end of the month.

I used some patterned paper from K&Co, punched the top edge with a Martha Stewart punch and added a row of gems along the top rim.  I threaded through a cream tassel onto the corner and then punched out a couple of Spellbinder tags, one of which I embossed.  After typing up the sentiment on my computer I added some paper flowers around the edge.

This card is going to be signed by 12 couples so I added a two folded pages with a matching patterned cover inside the card.  I printed off a poem and mounted this on the same patterned paper and fixed to the first page.

I then made a box (A5) with American Craft white textured cardstock and mounted cream cardstock which I embossed and then added some silver ribbon, a tag and the little butterfly at the bottom to match the card.

All finished.

Have a good one.

MORE CHRISTMAS CARDS

.
I'm on a roll with my Christmas cards for this years stash.  I saw this design on Nicole Heady's site and LOVED it.  Although I didn't have all the stamps used in the original design, I used what I had and came up with these.

The leaf & branch stamps I used were from a set by Martha Stewart, the stockings and sentiment all by PTI.

I really like 'batch' producing things.  I find it really relaxing and a great way to while away an evening in front of the TV with the odd glass of something to help me along the way!

I stamped then cut out a whole bunch of stockings in three designs and colours then worked on the branch and sentiment.  Once I'd mounted the background, it was really quick to just add the stockings.  I just finished things off with some red Stickles for the berries.

These will be my main cards for this year, with my cards featuring Dylan (my gorgeous pooch) being for close friends and family.

JOT IT DOWN

.
Hi all

Got some note pads to share with you today.  I love making these little things, really simple to do and quick too.

Everything used to make these up are from PTI with the exception of the little Magnolia image - cute isn't she!  Copic used for colouring.

Berry Sorbet - my FAVOURITE colour cardstock - YUMMMMMMMY!

Hope you're having a great day.
Take care.

THINKING OF YOU

.

I made this card for someone I miss dearly.  My best friend who moved to Abu Dhabi in February.  Although she has a fab job and its a great opportunity, I do miss her.

I started with the background which I stamped with one of the stamps from a set called Turning a Leaf from PTI in Momento black and then one of their Year of Flowers stamps.  The sentiment is from Magnolia.

I used a Martha Stewart punch for the edging and some Berisford spotty ribbon for a bit of colour.

For the insert I used some purple paper and stamped it with the Year of Flowers stamp with a Versamark ink pad to tie it all together.  Hope she likes it.

Catch you soon.

GETTING STARTED FOR CHRISTMAS

.
Hi All

Can you believe how quickly the time comes around to start making your annual bundle of Christmas Cards!?  It feel like such a short time ago that I made up last years batch and yet here it is again.

I've started this year with a small handful I will be giving to close friends and my sisters this year.  I have yet to decide what I am going to do for all the others that I'll be sending - brain just doesn't want to admit it needs to get cracking and come up with something!

As our dog Dylan is such a massive part of our life, he has pride of place this year....

My computer actually did all the work here.  I typed up the slogan and printed these out.  I chose a picture of Dylan from my stash that I really liked and changed it to black and white and then made his nose red using Photoshop.

I punched out the base snowflake using some glittered  paper and a die from PTI and the silver snow flake using a Martha Stewart punch and mounted it on top of the other, added a few gems and some ribbon and these were ready.  So quick and easy to make.  I have 15 more to do and then I really must try to come with something for the general card for this year.

I have a ton of fonts loaded onto my computer, mainly for my scrapbooking pages.  I have found the vast majority of them from FONTS.com which is a free site and they have absolutely loads of great fonts to chose from.  They also come in pretty handy to make up sentiments when I don't have the right stamp for the job.  The toughest thing for me is deciding which one I want to use!  The font I chose for these is called 'Latchboy'.

I have made up a few plain background ones and a few patterned ones so far.  I wanted to add some antlers to him but I could not find anything I liked the look of so in the end left him with just the nose!

Take care all.  Have a good evening.

DRESSING UP

Morning all,

I've got ahold of another little stamp from Lili of the Valley - and its dead adorable.  Did we girls all do this when we were growing up -  I and my sisters did!  We used to love having racing games with my mum and dads clothes all in a pile  and we had to put on the items on in a certain order (socks/stockings, shoes, hat, gloves, dress etc) and after each addition we had to run one lap around the garden before putting on the next item - the one who was fully clothed (and heavily weighted down by the end of it too!) was the winner.  Its was great fun but I know my parents were never too impressed with the grass stains we left behind!

Again coloured with Copic and Prisma with sentiment from PTI.

Right, off to walk to pooch, until my next post..

UNDER THE WEATHER

.
A little get well card for you today.  I've used both Prisma and Copics to colour this image and a ton of buttons!

I have no idea what patterned papers I've used here, but they are from the same designer.

Hope you're having a great day everyone. Pop back soon.
